Children's Ministries

"Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me"
Mark 9:37

We recognize that children are important to Thalia. We believe that every child who enters our doors is a special blessing from God and it is our responsibility to ensure their safety and to guide them in their spiritual growth. Our mission is simple: to show them God's love through our teaching, our fellowship, our worship and our activities, and to help them develop a relationship with His son, Jesus Christ.

Ministries with children include:

Sunday School

Bible teaching and exciting activities are offered at 9:45 A.M. See our Sunday School Page for more information.

Nursery

Our nursery is staffed with people who love children. Babies and toddlers are in good care while parents are free to participate in the Sunday morning worship service. Our staff is trained in CPR and Red Cross First Aid.

Children in Worship

We welcome and encourage our children to participate in the worship service. They serve as acolytes, sing in the Cherub Choir, join the Pastor for the Children's Moment, and attend Children's Church which is a special program for children during both the 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services.

Children's Fellowship

Meets 1st Sunday of every month 3:00 - 4:30 pm - elementary children up through grade 5.

We incorporate music, service project, snack, games, and Bible message into our fellowship. Beginning in March, we will meet the 3rd Friday of every month for "PJ's & a Movie" from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. We will screen a movie & explore how it connects with God. Everyone is encouraged to wear their PJ's & get comfy for the movie.

Children's socials include various parties throughout the year.

Vacation Bible School

Thalia will be hosting an exciting week of Vacation Bible School this year July 16th-20th from 9am to 12pm.

Avalanche Ranch will be opportunity for potty trained 3 year olds through 5th graders to come together and take a wild ride through God’s Word.
